Counselling fees

Counselling fees in Cape Town and online

Knowing the cost upfront can make it easier to decide what is possible for you. Here are the session fees, payment options and medical aid arrangements at Restoring Wholeness.

    Session fees

    Individual counselling

    R600

    per session

    Couples counselling

    R1 000

    per session

Family and group sessions: the fee depends on the size of the group and is confirmed when you book.

The same fees apply to in-person sessions in Edgemead, Cape Town, and online sessions by secure video call.

    Each session lasts 55 minutes.

    Payment

You can pay by cash or EFT; EFT is preferred. An invoice is available on request.

    Appointment times

Appointments are offered on weekdays, after hours and on Saturday mornings. If daytime appointments are difficult, include your availability when you enquire so we can look for a suitable time.

    Medical aid

Please plan to pay privately for wellness counselling. I am registered with the ASCHP as a Specialist Wellness Counsellor, and these sessions should not be assumed to qualify for medical aid reimbursement.

I can provide an invoice if you would like to ask your scheme about reimbursement. Any payment is subject to your scheme’s decision, and I cannot guarantee it. Please obtain confirmation directly from your scheme before booking if cover affects your decision.

    What the fee covers

Wellness counselling offers time to understand what you are experiencing, work on practical responses and review what is helping. My work is usually focused on specific goals and does not include diagnosing or treating mental illness.

We’ll review how many sessions are useful as we go. You are not committed to a fixed course of appointments.
